ALIGN classes are a fun and flow-y combination of hatha yoga, belly dancing and self-acupressure. The goal is to connect deeply with your own body, while also getting a great workout.

About Me

My name is Aggie, and I am passionate about optimal health. Like many, I was forced onto a healing journey by outside circumstances; A car accident in 2010 left me in constant pain. For 6 years I tried every modality I could think of- physical therapy, yoga, Pilates, chiropractic, acupuncture… None of these provided more than temporary relief. Then I had a series of sessions with a skilled bodyworker, and I was finally pain-free. The concept of fascial holding patterns and emotions being stored in the body fascinated me. I travelled to Europe to learn Myofascial Energetic Release. When I returned to the US, I studied mindbody acupressure in California. The combination of these two modalities has been powerful in my own healing from chronic pain, and in helping others.

But I still sensed there was something missing. In college I had studied psychology, exercise science and nutrition. These all felt like pieces of optimal health- but I sensed there was a lot more. Then I began to study Ayurveda under Dr. Vasant Lad. In Ayurveda everything fit together beautifully into a complete picture of optimal health, including a map of how to get there! I am currently using what I have learned at the Ayurvedic Institute to heal myself from a couple very complex disorders. And I am amazed at the body’s capacity to heal.
